Our year at Folklore is shaped by people coming together: the celebrations of weddings and events, and the everyday moments when someone stops in for a bouquet on their way home or to surprise a loved one with a thoughtful gift. We see the beginnings of so many gatherings before they unfold. It’s one of the privileges of this work.
The holiday season carries its own rhythm. Some days are bright and busy, full of lists, arrivals, and the joyful disorder of homes that swell with people. Others are quieter and intentionally small, or tender for those moving through the month gently. December holds the full spectrum, and we try to honour all of it.
In the shop, December brings its own touch. People drawn in by the scent of cedar and fir. The colours of winter roses and berries catching the eye. Hands gathering branches for a table or lingering over arrangements for a gift. Each visit feels like a little ritual, a way of embracing the season with care and intention.
